When members of EMH&T’s Landscape Architecture Division arrived at this year’s Ohio Parks and Recreation Association (OPRA) annual conference in early February, they were surprised and delighted to see an unexpected but friendly face from the office also attending the trade organization’s annual event.

After well over a year of construction, Facebook’s first data center facility within the Technology Campus of the New Albany Business Park celebrated its opening on a typical February morning in Columbus. Facebook officials along with Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine, New Albany Mayor Sloan Spalding, and others were on hand to celebrate this significant event. At 900,000 sf, the facility is the largest Central Ohio data center project to date. Facebook also announced construction on two additional data centers on the 325-acre site. EMH&T is proud to be the site/civil engineer for the project and proud to work with the City of New Albany and many private companies to support the continued economic development of the Central Ohio region.
