As 2016 comes to an end and we close out our 90th anniversary year, we look back at the busy year we had and the many things that happened at EMH&T.  It’s been a great year and we look forward to an exciting and engaging 2017!

As we come to the end of our 90th anniversary year, EMH&T is honored to be recognized by Smart Business Columbus on its first Business Longevity List. We are proud of our 90 years of being a solution-oriented partner for our clients and look forward to many more years of understanding and achieving the needs and goals of our clients.

Congratulations to Capital University on the opening of the new Convergent Media Center, the University’s first new academic building in 30 years! EMH&T was proud to provide professional site/civil engineering services for this new facility designed to support current and emerging degree programs that embody technical arts and convergent media, while also providing an interdisciplinary, creative and collaborative environment for all Capital students.

Congratulations to the 2016 graduates of EMH&T’s Emerging Project Management Program! EMH&T places a strong focus on developing the kind of workplace that fosters empowerment, creativity, professionalism, and leadership. 

EMH&T is excited to be involved with a new ODOT initiative designed to ensure projects are meeting Environmental Commitments (ECs). EMH&T was recently awarded a two-year contract with ODOT to lead its environmental commitment initiative on a statewide basis. Tracking and implementing ECs is essential for compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and ODOT’s project delivery process.

EMH&T is pleased to present the Fall 2016 issue of Ingenium.

EMH&T’s Adam Burger, PE will present at the 2016 Ohio Transportation Engineering Conference (OTEC) being held in Columbus, Ohio, on October 25 and 26. Adam will lead Session 43, Career Development Strategies, on Tuesday the 25th at 3:30 pm. His session will focus on the various certifications available to transportation professionals for furthering their career.

EMH&T is proud to have served the Kroger Company with a range of services on this great project including survey, entitlements, and site/civil engineering. The design included a drainage design with net zero discharge from the site via green infrastructure…not only fun to design…but great for our aquifers!

EMH&T congratulates CSX Intermodal Terminals, Inc. (CSXIT) on their Gold Level recognition by the Ohio EPA Encouraging Environmental Excellence (E3) program. The E3 program recognizes organizations for exceptional achievements in environmental stewardship. The CSXIT Northwest Ohio Intermodal Terminal in North Baltimore, OH was recognized for operating technologies of green design including ultra-efficient wide-span electric cranes that lower emissions, optical scanners that reduce truck idling times, technologies which automatically track railcars, and remote switches that increase operational efficiency.
