National Engineers Week 2020 is here! This event is celebrated for a full week each February. Founded in 1951 by the National Society of Professional Engineers, National Engineers Week is dedicated to ensuring a diverse and well-educated future engineering workforce by increasing understanding of and interest in engineering and technology careers.
The theme for Engineers Week 2020 is “Pioneers of Progress.” From the days of the covered wagon to the first manned space flight, pioneering individuals have forged the way toward the future. Like these many enterprising individuals, engineers use their knowledge, experience, creativity, and desire to improve the world around them, always moving forward and crossing new frontiers along the way.
In conjunction with this year’s theme, today EMH&T partnered with the Ohio Society of Professional Engineers to host 32 Columbus-area high school students for a full day of learning more about engineering. The “Engineer for a Day” program allowed these students to not only experience a day in the life of an engineer, but also provided a glimpse into the many interesting and fascinating aspects of modern engineering design and land surveying.
There’s an easy way to see how we can help. Let’s talk about it.
