Veteran Blue Jackets Player Jody Shelley Visits EMH&T

Columbus Blue Jackets veteran player and current Blue Jackets broadcast associate and team ambassador Jody Shelley spoke to the employees of EMH&T on Wednesday afternoon, September 18th. His presentation, titled My Seat on the Bus, was all about making the unachievable achievable.

Through interesting and colorful stories from his 16-year NHL career as an on-ice enforcer, Jody shared with the audience how willpower, attitude, hard work, focus, and a bit of luck can help you locate your seat on the bus, a metaphor for your role in your work and personal life. These characteristics can also help you make the most of the smallest opportunities to achieve personal success. Jody’s message was simple and universal: by embracing teamwork, overcoming adversity, and developing leadership skills, everyone can rise to the top in whatever it is they do.

The event concluded with a meet and greet and an opportunity for photos and autographs.
