Engineers Week 2017: Engineers Dream Big!

Welcome to National Engineer’s Week! This event is celebrated annually for a full week each February. Founded in 1951 by the National Society of Professional Engineers, National Engineers Week is dedicated to ensuring a diverse and well-educated future engineering workforce by increasing understanding of and interest in engineering and technology careers.

The theme for Engineers Week 2017 is “Engineers Dream Big.” Every project, great or small, starts with a dream: A dream to create and build. At EMH&T, our engineers engage their creativity and technical know-how to transform dreams into reality. They are professional “dreamers” in specialized areas ranging from transportation and infrastructure, to site development and rail engineering.

In today’s digital age, we help our clients see their dreams by provide amazing renderings and models that are as life-like as a photograph! Using 3D modeling software and desktop design tools, our professionals develop site features that contribute to the overall design process and allow clients to see their dream on paper. These specialized software programs allow EMH&T’s professionals to develop life-like models of proposed engineering solutions.

The software allows our engineers to create infrastructure models from existing data sources and generate models at various levels of detail, providing a very comprehensive picture of both existing and proposed concepts. It is critical for design of roadways, bridges and other infrastructure components and allows us to show a range of design options conceptually by turning engineering data into images.

So in conjunction with this year’s theme, over the course of this week we will share a few EMH&T projects that our big dreams, emphasis on “big,” have produced and the solutions they provided for our clients.

Let’s connect.

There’s an easy way to see how we can help. Let’s talk about it.
