This is National “Bike to Work Week” and the City of Columbus is making it easier for citizens to use this environmentally friendly form of transportation. The ConnectColumbus Multimodal Thoroughfare Plan is designed to create the rules needed for successful multimodal transportation throughout the city. The City’s “Share the Road Campaign” was created by former mayor Michael B. Coleman to encourage more people to ride their bicycles to work and school, and for fun. It is also a simple reminder that roads are for both cars and bikes. EMH&T was pleased to contribute to this effort by helping the City implement the use of bike lane signs and “sharrow” markings in areas of shared roadway throughout Columbus.
There’s an easy way to see how we can help. Let’s talk about it.
