Ohio University Housing Demolition
EMH&T is working closely with Ohio University, guided by their Student Housing Master Plan, to provide the design for the demolition of Wolfe and Ullom Streets apartments as the first stage of student housing redevelopment on campus. Some major concerns included routing of pedestrian traffic during construction and determination of infrastructure that has not been recorded. EMH&T addressed these concerns while minimizing campus disruption, providing a Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) plan, and ensuring the safety of all students, faculty, administrators and visitors. Our engineers also provided the necessary utility infrastructure (gas, chilled water, domestic water, sanitary, storm, electric, cable/fiber/telecom) to accommodate the phased development of the new student housing over a 10-year period.
