Fishers Kroger Store
At 123,000 square feet, the new Kroger Neighborhood grocery store in Fishers, Indiana outside of Indianapolis replaces an existing 65,000 square foot store. The new store is being built immediately behind the existing store, which will then be demolished to provide additional parking and improved site traffic patterns. Other new site amenities include landscape features, improved pedestrian connectivity, a new pedestrian plaza with landscaping and benches and a “reflecting pond” that doubles as an on-site detention facility within a new neighborhood park area.
EMH&T led the team through the entitlement process that involved annexation, rezoning, PUD text amendment, and primary platting services. EMH&T also provided site/civil engineering to include topographic survey, ALTA/ACSM, platting, full site civil construction documents, and a detailed phasing plan for construction highlighting utility/access relocations with temporary services to keep the existing store in access while the proposed store is built 15 feet behind it.
