Traffic Signal Installation/Traffic Signal Design Manual
EMH&T developed, organized and produced the very first traffic signal design manual for the City of Columbus Department of Public Service. The manual organized and updated existing City of Columbus standards, policies, recommended practices, and typical drawings into one comprehensive document. The City of Columbus maintains and operates over 1,000 signalized intersections in its jurisdiction and needed a clear and concise reference source for designers, reviewers and construction personnel. The manual provides the Department of Public Service with an easy to use, and easily updated, resource that promotes uniform design and reduces conflicts and changes during construction.
