Interstate 75 Rehabilitation Maintenance of Traffic

Cincinnati, OH

For this highly complex project, EMH&T is providing design for the elimination of one interchange, improvements to two other interchanges and widening of mainline I-75 from six lanes to a maximum of 10 lanes. The accompanying five-phase maintenance of traffic plan utilizes a contraflow scheme to ensure every route remains open to traffic at all times, including ever on and off ramp, as well as mainline I-75. EMH&T traffic engineers also coordinated heavily with the serving railroad for 2 railroad bridges affected by the construction; again ensuring rail traffic remained open at all times. (Official ODOT name: HAM-75-7.85)
