Eureka Hunter Pipeline Carbide Facility, Eureka Hunter Pipeline, LLC
Wetzel County, West Virginia
EMH&T was hired by Eureka Hunter Pipeline, LLC, an oil and gas company active within the Marcellus and Utica shale play in Ohio and West Virginia since 2011, to provide site design for the Carbide facility located in Wetzel County, West Virginia. The site is a pipeline support facility run by Magnum Hunter Resources and designed to move, process, and transport natural gas liquids (NGL). EMH&T provided site civil development for this project that included tank storage, a truck loading facility, compressors, NGL pipeline, and a future rail spur for shipments (which has not yet been constructed due to budget constraints). A Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure (SPCC) plan was produced outlining the various storage vessels and equipment onsite and detailing the appropriate countermeasures in the unlikely event of a product release. The scope of services included topographic and utility survey, track design, grading and drainage design, stormwater design, and permitting. Our team was also responsible for construction support services and plans for an additional expansion.
