The Grand of Dublin
The mixed-use Bridge Street District in the City of Dublin, Ohio, is an entertainment, dining, retail, and office destination with riverfront parks and appealing housing choices. Among the housing choices is The Grand of Dublin, a new rehabilitation/senior living complex. The 133,000-square-foot facility is built as five separate buildings connected under a single roof. The Grand has 100 skilled nursing beds, 20 assisted living units and three senior apartments, within a premier resort style community designed to combine luxury living with the security of post-acute care and rehabilitation services. The facility also includes an on-site daycare designed especially for the employees’ children.
EMH&T provided professional site/civil engineering and landscape architecture design services working in conjunction with Columbus-based JMM Architects Inc., which specializes in senior living design, and Continental Building Systems as the general contractor. The facility reached completion in the fall of 2015, after some eight years of planning, permits, zoning, plus construction delays during two brutal Central Ohio winters.
