OSU Covelli Center and Jennings Wrestling Facility

Columbus, Ohio

This new multi-sport arena and practice facility is a significant step forward in Ohio State’s broader Athletic Framework Plan, which aims to bring the majority of university athletic facilities into the same quadrant on the north side of its main campus. At over 127,000 square feet, the 3,700-seat facility will be the new home of several OSU sports programs and also will be designed to host other recreational activities as well as programs and events. Ancillary spaces will include maintenance, storage and machinery spaces, as well as concession stands, restrooms, and other common spectator amenities.

Working closely with Columbus-based Moody Nolan, the project’s architect of record, as well as Kansas City-based Populous serving as design architect and MKSK as landscape architect, EMH&T provided professional engineering services including survey, utility plans, drainage plans, and site layout plans for this tracking LEED Silver building.
