MetroHealth November Family Clinic
Middleburg Heights, OH
EMH&T assisted MetroHealth in identifying and evaluating several sites for multiple new ambulatory care facilities, ranging in size from 25,000 to 130,000 square feet. The first of those facilities is the November Family Health Clinic in Middleburg Heights, Ohio, a suburb community of Cleveland. The $17.5 million, 57,000 square foot two-story facility houses ambulatory care services including physical and occupational therapy, optical, and MR Imaging, as well as physicians’ offices and 300 surface parking spaces. The professionals of EMH&T worked with lead architect Smith Group to design the building and site that will serve as a prototype for additional ambulatory care facilities in the MetroHealth county-wide system. EMH&T coordinated all permits and approvals for utility service through both the City of Cleveland and the City of Middleburg Heights and Cuyahoga County, as well as approvals through the Ohio EPA, ODOT, and the US Army Corps of Engineers. EMH&T was responsible for the site work and civil engineering as well as landscape architecture for this site. EMH&T’s environmental professionals addressed wetland mitigation issues on the site, and EMH&T’s traffic and transportation engineers provided analysis and design of a new signalized intersection at the entrance to the facility, carefully planning for ingress/egress and on-site circulation. The facility is slated to become LEED certified by the US Green Building Council.
