Hamilton Quarter

Columbus, OH

The last major interchange-accessible greenfield site in Columbus, located on the far northeast side, is quickly becoming a new mixed-use development with retail, hospitality, and health care currently in construction and office and multi-family living facilities, including senior living units, already open for business. The development, called Hamilton Quarter, eventually will feature 1 million square feet of retail space, 700,000 square feet of office space, and 800 new apartments, along with the 130 senior living units already in place. The development surrounds a “central boulevard,” which includes medians and roundabout intersections. EMH&T coordinated with the engineers of this roadway in designing the feeder roadways that will connect into the larger development. EMH&T provided professional services for the master planning of the public and private infrastructure needed to support the larger development. EMH&T also provided complete site/civil engineering for the first residential, office, and retail phases of the project, which includes a new office campus for Columbus-based Big Lots, a Fortune 500 retail company.
