Granger Senior Living Facility
New Albany, OH
Working for Granger Group and in conjunction with Hobbs & Black Architects, EMH&T provided professional services for the development of a new senior living facility on 14 acres in the Village Center area of New Albany, Ohio. The facility, at 100,000 sq. ft., has 104 units, including 44 specialized for residents with memory impairments. Architecture for the campus will reflect the Georgian-inspired design found throughout the New Albany area. The project is designed to incorporate future phases including a second 60-unit building with a mix of assisted living and independent apartments and separate townhome-style senior residences.
EMH&T provided site/civil engineering and landscape design services, as well as representation to the New Albany Architectural Review Committee. The project site lies within a 28-acre watershed directly tributary to Rose Run and a regional retention basin is planned near the project site. Infrastructure design for the site included provisions for conveying stormwater runoff from adjacent property through this project’s site to the basin.
