Pierce Field

Grandview Heights, OH

While small for a community park at just under 5 acres, Pierce Field is big in the amount of use it gets from the entire Grandview Heights community. Recent improvements include an upgraded roasting pit for the annual community ‘Ox Roast’, new picnic shelter with restroom facilities, decorative fencing and columns matching the community aesthetic, pedestrian walkways and street crossings, soft surface and playground upgrades, reconstructed tennis and multi-use courts currently used by the adjacent Robert Lewis Stevenson Elementary School, and improvements to the t-ball field and girls softball field. Specific field improvements included a new backstop and dugouts, fencing, new Musco light fixtures and turf reseeding.
