Parks and Recreation Master Plan
Grove City, OH
EMH&T’s primary task in creating this Parks and Recreation Master Plan was to develop planning standards that represented Grove City’s preferred level of service as it related to the amount, type, distribution, and connectivity of parks and open space. After determining that current needs were being met, EMH&T’s primary goal shifted to maintaining the current level of service that the community was accustomed to, and establishing a clear system of connections linking parks, open space, schools, and other key areas within the community. The master plan also focused on developing a clear strategy for acquisition of property specifically for open space use based on future development. Thus, making sure that the growth of the parks and recreation system follows the continued growth of the community.
