City of Westerville Street Maintenance Program GIS
EMH&T evaluates the existing pavement conditions and makes maintenance recommendations for the City of Westerville’s Annual Street Maintenance Program. Once the project is in the construction phase, we administer the contract, inspect the contractors work, provide material testing services, manage contractor claims/requests for information, review submittals, and provide project close-out/punch-list services. To date, EMH&T has provided inspection of the lime stabilization, planning, overlay, full and partial depth pavement replacement of over 36,000 square yards of parking lot restoration, which includes planning and surface treatment of City parking lots. Other responsibilities include inspection of over one 1,000 linear feet of the City bike path which involves crack sealing, patching and surface treatment as needed. EMH&T is responsible for the public information/education that is designed to increase awareness during the street rehabilitation applications to maintain access/usability for residences and businesses. EMH&T’s GIS Division supports these efforts by providing extensive databases to keep track of the maintenance history. The program is responsible for the repair and upkeep of Westerville City streets and bike paths. GIS provides residents with locations and dates of repairs in an effort to minimize the inconvenience during scheduled maintenance.
