West Water Run Stream Restoration

Grove City, OH

EMH&T prepared a Clean Ohio Conservation Fund grant application on behalf of Grove City for this stream relocation and restoration project on the site of the former Beulah Park Racetrack. The Clean Ohio grant will allow for the relocation of West Water Run out of the adjacent Beulah neighborhood and restore the stream as an integral component of the Beulah Park comprehensive redevelopment. The project will serve to significantly improve habitat conditions along more than 4,000 linear feet of West Water Run, as well as alleviate flooding of adjacent residential properties. The project also provides a unique opportunity to advance a stormwater master plan for the redevelopment of Beulah Park. EMH&T is assisting the City in implementing all aspects of the grant-funded project, including surveying, preliminary and final engineering, 404/401 permitting, environmental site assessment, floodplain permitting, stormwater master planning, and grant management assistance.
