County Line West Bridge Improvements
EMH&T provided construction management, resident project representation and the coordination of laboratory materials testing and bearing pile dynamic load tests. This project consisted of a mile of construction for a five lane arterial street and included the County Line Road West Bridge over Alum Creek. This bridge is 238 foot long and has a three span prestressed concrete I-beams composite with a superelevated reinforced concrete deck. The reinforced concrete substructure is founded on bearing piles. Installation of the pier footings, columns, and pier caps included the use of cofferdams. The reinforced concrete superstructure includes railings, street lighting, embedded utilities, and a sidewalk on one side with a bike path on the opposite side.
