Britton Parkway Improvements
EMH&T provided construction administration and resident project representation services for over two miles of roadway improvements including a new 4,600-foot section of Britton Parkway. EMH&T’s innovative roadway designs allowed for two multi-lane modern roundabout intersections, a single lane roundabout, and two signals. Other roadway design features included planted medians, landscaping and irrigation, sidewalks, two culvert stream crossings, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, retention ponds for water quality, a 12-inch water main extension, street lighting, and a new utility duct bank. EMH&T was able to retrofit the existing signalized Britton Road/Davidson Road intersection with a multi-lane roundabout without significant impacts to the numerous private utilities in the area including overhead AEP transmission lines.
