Bliss Run Storm Sewer
EMH&T performed the construction administration and provided an on-site, full-time Resident Project Representative. The two-year project involved the installation of a storm trunk sewer ranging in size from 108” to 12”, reaching depths of 33’, and required additional safety precautions. Most of the installation was done as an open cut operation with a portion of tunneling for an 84” storm tile. The trunk line was significantly deep and temporary water service and gas lines were required. Excavation was performed in the existing roadway and the effected streets were rebuilt. Construction included curb and gutter, sidewalks, driveway approaches, replacement of street lighting, retaining walls, waterline and water services, and landscaping.
