Bexley Storm Sewer Improvements
Bexley, OH
EMH&T designed rehabilitations and improvements to the aging storm sewer by preparing plans to construct a 66-inch trunk sewer of 2,640 linear feet. The storm sewer was installed through the middle of Main Street, due to utility and right-of-way constraints. This project involved a unique hydraulic structure, providing the City with the ability to modify the direction of the flow after installation to obtain optimum stormwater conveyance. In addition, EMH&T added a water transmission line to the system to boost pressures through the City’s central business district. EMH&T provided a full suite of engineering services during construction including contract administration, construction observation, and material testing services.
