Ecosystem Restoration for The Limited, Broad and Waggoner Development
Reynoldsburg, OhioEMH&T provided services for this project including development of a stream relocation plan to include natural channel design techniques. The relocated channel design included a meandering channel, deep pools for fish habitat, revegetation of the low flow channel banks with upland slope plantings. Through the use of vegetated stormwater basins, EMH&T was able to enhance treatment of stormwater for improved water quality. EMH&T designed these basins to include forebays for sediment settling and vegetated shelves for further treatment. All work on the project was associated with 404/401 permitting and included public involvement and plans to preserve 35 acres of warmwater habitat stream and upland buffer under a permanent conservation easement. In addition, EMH&T managed the required archaeological surveys. The project received the Outstanding Achievement Award from the American Council of Engineering Companies of Ohio.
