PROJECT MANAGER (Site Civil) - IN
INDIANAPOLIS, IN

Job Responsibilities
This position has responsibility for interpreting, planning and executing engineering projects. This includes definition of scope, development of design concepts, estimating costs, coordinating work and performance of staff assigned to project, and capturing and communicating project plan changes, reviewing invoices and conducting project QA/QC reviews. This position will serve as a client liaison, coordinating project schedules, problem solutions, budgets and quality work products. Written work products must have order, clarity, and conciseness.



ARCHIVE TECHNICIAN
COLUMBUS, OH

Job Responsibilities
This entry level position is temporary with full time working hours and will be under the direction of the Records Services Manager as a supportive role to maintain and track archived files, plans and records. The employee will have a hands-on role in sorting and organizing miscellaneous project files, drawings, prints and additional documents. Some of these tasks will include: being responsible for creating electronic file entries, documenting specific details into the archive tracking database, and sorting through and scanning large format plans for permanent electronic storage. The technician will also provide accurate information for other staff members to utilize records as a reference to remove and return housed files ensuring archive files are preserved and remain intact during such processes. Employee will also be relied upon to remain consistent with the processes involved, providing proper and concise documentation of records and implementing archive standards, procedures and guidelines.



ENGINEER INTERN (EIT) - NC
CHARLOTTE, NC

Job Responsibilities
Under the direction of a seasoned PM, receives specific and detailed instructions for required tasks and results expected. Creates drawings and makes basic calculations on assigned portions of multiple projects. Performs basic engineering calculations and uses AutoCAD to begin to apply engineering education to practical design solutions.



SURVEY INSTRUMENT OPERATOR - NC
CHARLOTTE, NC

Job Responsibilities
Under the direction of the Crew Chief, support the land survey process by physically assisting with the acquisition of survey data points and construction layout. Duties involve obtaining land survey data, such as angles, elevations, points, and contours using Trimble Robotic & GPS equipment. May compile notes and records of survey data obtained and work performed. Occasional overnight travel may be requested with a per diem allowance. May be asked to assist with other physical efforts required to complete a land survey at the development site.



SENIOR ENGINEER - NC
CHARLOTTE, NC

Job Responsibilities
This key site civil design position in the Charlotte division of EMH&T has responsibilities for performing a lead role for all aspects of project design, layout, calculations, and subsequent plan preparation, plan reviews and modification, including coordination and concurrence functions with public regulatory agencies and utility companies. This position will also be engaged in basic water resources design in support of site development projects. Perform QC/QA design review on complex and non-complex design projects, direct and review the work tasks assigned to others to ensure quality design work products are delivered to clients. This position may serve as a client liaison, coordinating project schedules, problem solutions, budgets and quality work products. Written work products must have order, clarity, and conciseness.



(EIT) ENGINEER - SITE/CIVIL

ENGINEER - RAILROAD DESIGN
COLUMBUS, OH

Job Responsibilities
This key position in the Rail division has responsibilities in assisting with all aspects of planning and organizing workflow, conducting all aspects of rail project design, layout, calculations and subsequent plan preparation, plan reviews and modification, including coordination and concurrence functions with railroad and public regulatory agencies and utility companies. Perform QC/QA design review on complex and non-complex design tasks to ensure quality products are delivered to clients. Prepare engineering documents and reports, such as Preliminary Engineering Studies, detail design reports, bid packages and tabulations, probable construction cost estimates, etc.



TECHNICIAN (CAD)
COLUMBUS, OH

Under the direction of the project manager, this position transforms initial rough designs using computer aided design (CAD) drafting into working documents. Reviews engineering drawings and designs to ensure adherence to established specifications, EMH&T standards, and client needs.



GIS APPLICATION DEVELOPER
COLUMBUS, OH

Job Responsibilities
The Application Developer is a key contributor to the creation of Geospatial Information Systems (GIS) for clients of EMH&Tís Geospatial Solutions division. The incumbent will have responsibility for GIS application developments using primarily ESRI technology. The applications and/or enhancements are either desktop-based or web-based configurations. In addition to design, this position will also troubleshoot and correct reported problems with software or program. The Developer will be engaged in the development and implementation of system specifications, design, integration, testing, and documentation based on client need and ensures compliance with quality standards established. The Developer will interact with current and prospective clients, providing information and explanations about business advantages, functionality, and optimization as it relates to the clientís current and future business needs.



WATER RESOURCES ENGINEER (EIT)
COLUMBUS, OH

Job Responsibilities
Under the direction of a seasoned Water Resources engineer or Project Manager, carry out specific and detailed instructions on simple to moderately complex hydraulic and hydrologic calculations primarily as part of stormwater improvement studies and runoff plans, preliminary design studies, floodplain studies, or watershed planning and environmental-based studies. Provide design support, research studies and planning documents related to various stormwater and floodplain management projects in conjunction with private site development and public infrastructure improvements. Actively become involved with the completion of stormwater management reports, including the analysis and design of detention and post-construction water quality facilities in accordance with local and state-wide regulatory guidelines. Will also be involved with assisting in the preparation of floodplain permit applications, including hydrologic/hydraulic modeling and FEMA map change applications. Incumbent will learn to perform basic engineering calculations, use of Pondpack, HEC-RAS, PCSWMM or similar software for conducting water resources calculations, and will use AutoCAD to begin to demonstrate design solutions.
