SEWER SYSTEMS ASSISTANT

Job Responsibilities
Successful candidate will assist with the set up of specialized equipment associated with televising and marking location of storm water and sanitary sewers. BILLING MANAGER
COLUMBUS

Job Responsibilities
This position functions as a lead in the Accounting department and has responsibility for the generation of accurate and timely invoices for services rendered, while adhering to billing cycles per client. This role also produces periodic management reports. Other accountabilities include compiling data, computing fees and charges, and preparing invoices for billing purposes. Accuracy in the calculations of rates for services and ancillary charges is critical and often involves interaction with project managers. Incumbent must maintain other relevant records such as e-billing data management.



ENGINEER INTERN/ENGINEER - IN
INDIANAPOLIS, IN

Job Responsibilities
Using drafting and engineering design techniques to assist the Project Manager with all aspects of project design calculations and subsequent plan preparation, modifications and other services to meet client needs. Responsibilities involve design of components of site layout, utilities, grading and drainage, storm water pollution prevention plan, quantities, opinions of probable costs, technical specifications, drainage reports, and operations and maintenance manuals. Assist Project Manager with construction management by reviewing shop drawings and performing site visits. Designs will be developed utilizing drainage, AutoCAD and Civil 3D software.



CREW CHIEF - IN
INDIANAPOLIS, IN

Job Responsibilities
Using a broad array of surveying methods, techniques and equipment, organizes and maintains efficiency of the field survey crew in completing specific tasks for private and public clients. The position will make accurate measurements and delineate property boundaries; gather data relevant to specific land features, including shape, contour, location, elevation and dimension for the preparation of ALTA and boundary surveys; accurately record and convey this information for use in engineering, mapping, construction; and perform basic survey calculations. This role has lead responsibility to manage field crew while being actively involved in the accurate recording and calculations of field data; provide instruction and development of field crew members to ensure accuracy and accountability of the team; and respond appropriately to inquiries about survey projects or presence of survey teams to clients, contractors, utility or municipal personnel or property owners.



SURVEYOR INTERN/TECHNICIAN
COLUMBUS, OH

Job Responsibilities
This Full Time position will work under the direction of a Professional Surveyor, this candidate will be responsible for transforming and preparing initial designs into working documents using AutoCAD. Other tasks will be performed and assigned including designs for topographic, ALTA and boundary surveys. The incumbent will develop a practical understanding and application of learned principles via performing basic surveys, e.g. leveling, traversing, metes and bounds surveys, construction surveys, photo control surveys, and GPS. Work will include but is not limited to; condominium and subdivision plats, lot splits, easement descriptions, and terrain modeling.



DESKTOP MANAGER

Job Responsibilities
This key position in the I.T. department has oversight responsibilities for delivery of daily support and management of the desktop computers within the company of approximately 350 users primarily located in the Columbus headquarters. The Desktop Manager will work closely with a staff of end users, technicians, programmers and other I.T. staff members.



ENVIRONMENTAL TECHNICIAN
COLUMBUS, OH

Job Responsibilities
This key position in the Columbus office will work with the Senior Environmental Scientist and has responsibility for the completion of Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs), environmental reviews, site inspections, and asbestos surveys. Depending upon experience, the incumbent may also assist with Phase II ESAs and associated environmental due diligence procedures.



WATER RESOURCES ENGINEER - NC
CHARLOTTE, NC

Job Responsibilities
Provide design and implementation of studies and planning documents related to various stormwater and floodplain management projects in conjunction with private site development and public infrastructure improvements. Responsible for the completion of stormwater management reports, including the analysis and design of detention and post-construction water quality faclities in accordance with local and state-wide regulatory guidelines. Also responsible for the analysis and design of erosion and sediment control and SWPPP documents for various projects. Will also be involved in the preparation of floodplain permit applications, including hydrologic/hydraulic modeling and FEMA map change applications. The position requires knowledge of regulations, policies and technical guidelines pertaining to stormwater and floodplain management, and will include the analysis and design of sustainable practices such as green infrastructure. Under the direction of a senior project manager, this position provides design support for private development projects, creating project designs from start to finish, including 3D conceptual plans, master planning, drainage analysis, prepare surface, line work and contour drawings from survey data points; develop plan and profile drawings and details, such as building placement, grading, utility plans, storm sewers, roadways, required easements, access drives, parking and so on in accordance with local zoning standards and internal EMH&T drafting standards. Typical projects include commercial sites, distribution centers, senior and campus housing, health care facilities, higher education, etc.



PROFESSIONAL SURVEYOR
COLUMBUS, OH

Job Responsibilities
This position reports to the director of the Columbus Survey department for EMH&T. Primary responsibility for the planning and completion of multiple survey projects and production of survey documents by office staff ensuring the project meets client scope, standards, and deadline. Provide estimations of, personnel hours and materials needed to prepare bid proposals and assist in establishing completion dates. Oversee preparation and scheduling of staking plans, ALTA surveys, as-built surveys, mortgage surveys, etc. Works collaboratively with clients on specifications and modifications as project is underway. May engage in problem solving with municipal or utility companies in order to move a project forward.

This position will be responsible to conduct archaeological fieldwork, prehistoric and historic artifact identification, background research, and report writing as it relates to potential land development or redevelopment projects. CIVIL DESIGNER (EIT) - IN
INDIANAPOLIS, IN

Job Responsibilities
This is a full time EIT position who will work under the direction of a seasoned PM, receives specific and detailed instructions for required tasks and results expected. Creates drawings and makes basic calculations on assigned portions of multiple projects. Performs basic engineering calculations and uses AutoCAD and Civil 3D to apply engineering education to practical design solutions. Majority of project types will be private site development plans. Design activities include site plan layout, utility horizontal and vertical design, and grading and drainage design.

MATERIAL TESTING TECHNICIAN
COLUMBUS, OH

Job Responsibilities
This Full Time, Seasonal position will monitor and test the work of construction contractors to ensure quality control and contract compliance for primarily public works projects of routine to moderate complexity. Primarily oversee, inspect and monitor site work which includes excavations, drainage facilities, road surfaces, and structures; schedules work and inspection phases with contactor and agency personnel. Conduct nondestructive testing for concrete, asphalt, and other foundation materials. Advise contractors of violations/deviations and recommend adjustments to operations. Maintain project records which include daily logs, materials notebooks, as-built plans and/or pay quantity records.



ENGINEER/DESIGNER - TRAFFIC
COLUMBUS, OH

Job Responsibilities
This engineering/design position is a part of the Traffic team and has primary responsibility for traffic design including Traffic Control, Traffic Signals and Signal Systems, Highway and Site Lighting and Maintenance of Traffic During Construction. The incumbent may also prepare Impact Studies, Safety Studies, Interchange Justification/Modification Studies, Signal Warrant Studies, Parking Studies, Pedestrian and Bikeway Planning, and Corridor Analysis including signal system timing and assessment. The successful candidate must prepare plans, specifications and estimates for traffic engineering improvements and prepare written reports and orally present results and recommendations. The engineer/designer may be asked to provide support with project proposals, including statements of qualifications, scope of services and fee proposals. The engineer/designer may be asked to develop, review, assess and incorporate varied jurisdictional standards and policy requirements depending on project location and client needs. The engineer/designer will plan, organize, direct and participate in data collection including traffic and parking counts, research of local, state, and federal regulations,



SR. ENGINEER - TRANSPORTATION
COLUMBUS, OH

Job Responsibilities
This position is a part of the Roadway Design team and responsibilities include both design and project management tasks, such as assisting with all aspects of planning and organizing workflow, conduct all aspects of project design calculations and subsequent plan preparation, plan reviews and modification, including coordination and concurrence functions with public regulatory agencies and utility companies. Perform QC/QA design review on complex and non-complex design tasks to ensure quality products are delivered to clients. Prepare engineering documents and reports, such as Preliminary Engineering Studies, life cycle cost comparisons, detail design reports and plans, design exceptions, probable construction cost estimates, etc. Project clients will include municipalities, county engineers, ODOT, and private developers.
