ENGINEER/DESIGNER - TRAFFIC
COLUMBUS, OH

Job Responsibilities
This engineering/design position is a part of the Traffic team and has primary responsibility for traffic design including Traffic Control, Traffic Signals and Signal Systems, Highway and Site Lighting and Maintenance of Traffic During Construction. The incumbent may also prepare Impact Studies, Safety Studies, Interchange Justification/Modification Studies, Signal Warrant Studies, Parking Studies, Pedestrian and Bikeway Planning, and Corridor Analysis including signal system timing and assessment. The successful candidate must prepare plans, specifications and estimates for traffic engineering improvements and prepare written reports and orally present results and recommendations. The engineer/designer may be asked to provide support with project proposals, including statements of qualifications, scope of services and fee proposals. The engineer/designer may be asked to develop, review, assess and incorporate varied jurisdictional standards and policy requirements depending on project location and client needs. The engineer/designer will plan, organize, direct and participate in data collection including traffic and parking counts, research of local, state, and federal regulations,



ENGINEER - RAILROAD DESIGN
COLUMBUS, OH

Job Responsibilities
This key position in the Rail division has responsibilities in assisting with all aspects of planning and organizing workflow, conducting all aspects of rail project design, layout, calculations and subsequent plan preparation, plan reviews and modification, including coordination and concurrence functions with railroad and public regulatory agencies and utility companies. Perform QC/QA design review on complex and non-complex design tasks to ensure quality products are delivered to clients. Prepare engineering documents and reports, such as Preliminary Engineering Studies, detail design reports, bid packages and tabulations, probable construction cost estimates, etc.



GIS APPLICATION DEVELOPER
COLUMBUS, OH

Job Responsibilities
The Application Developer is a key contributor to the creation of Geospatial Information Systems (GIS) for clients of EMH&Tís Geospatial Solutions division. The incumbent will have responsibility for GIS application developments using primarily ESRI technology. The applications and/or enhancements are either desktop-based or web-based configurations. In addition to design, this position will also troubleshoot and correct reported problems with software or program. The Developer will be engaged in the development and implementation of system specifications, design, integration, testing, and documentation based on client need and ensures compliance with quality standards established. The Developer will interact with current and prospective clients, providing information and explanations about business advantages, functionality, and optimization as it relates to the clientís current and future business needs.



WATER RESOURCES ENGINEER (EIT)
COLUMBUS, OH

Job Responsibilities
Under the direction of a seasoned Water Resources engineer or Project Manager, carry out specific and detailed instructions on simple to moderately complex hydraulic and hydrologic calculations primarily as part of stormwater improvement studies and runoff plans, preliminary design studies, floodplain studies, or watershed planning and environmental-based studies. Provide design support, research studies and planning documents related to various stormwater and floodplain management projects in conjunction with private site development and public infrastructure improvements. Actively become involved with the completion of stormwater management reports, including the analysis and design of detention and post-construction water quality facilities in accordance with local and state-wide regulatory guidelines. Will also be involved with assisting in the preparation of floodplain permit applications, including hydrologic/hydraulic modeling and FEMA map change applications. Incumbent will learn to perform basic engineering calculations, use of Pondpack, HEC-RAS, PCSWMM or similar software for conducting water resources calculations, and will use AutoCAD to begin to demonstrate design solutions.



SENIOR ENGINEER - NC
CHARLOTTE, NC

Job Responsibilities
This key site civil design position in the Charlotte division of EMH&T has responsibilities for performing a lead role for all aspects of project design, layout, calculations, and subsequent plan preparation, plan reviews and modification, including coordination and concurrence functions with public regulatory agencies and utility companies. This position will also be engaged in basic water resources design in support of site development projects. Perform QC/QA design review on complex and non-complex design projects, direct and review the work tasks assigned to others to ensure quality design work products are delivered to clients. This position may serve as a client liaison, coordinating project schedules, problem solutions, budgets and quality work products. Written work products must have order, clarity, and conciseness.



ENGINEER INTERN (EIT) - NC
CHARLOTTE, NC

Job Responsibilities
Under the direction of a seasoned PM, receives specific and detailed instructions for required tasks and results expected. Creates drawings and makes basic calculations on assigned portions of multiple projects. Performs basic engineering calculations and uses AutoCAD to begin to apply engineering education to practical design solutions.



SENIOR TECHNICIAN (CAD)
COLUMBUS, OH

Job Responsibilities
Under the direction of the project manager, this position transforms initial rough designs using computer aided design (CAD) drafting into working documents. Reviews engineering drawings and designs to ensure adherence to established specifications, EMH&T standards, and client needs.



PROJECT MANAGER - RAIL
