ACCOUNTING SPECIALIST
COLUMBUS, OH

Job Responsibilities
The primary responsibility of this position is to assist the Accounting Department in the timely computation and issuance of employee payroll, tracking appropriate taxation, deductions and other payables, such as travel and business expenses, that are reimbursed through the payroll process. Provide Accounting Director with any issues regarding paid-time-off or non-chargeable hours for follow up. Proof-check payroll totals, reviewing data for employees with changes effective with payroll cycle, e.g. new hires, separations, transfers. Generate and distribute various project and employee reports. Sort and file correspondence and perform miscellaneous clerical duties such as answering general correspondence. This position will also handle other accounting tasks as assigned, such as generating reports, new client credit reports, updating billing codes, processing employee exemption changes, etc.



GENERAL LABORER (CCTV Assistant)
COLUMBUS, OH

Job Responsibilities
Successful candidate will assist with the set up of specialized equipment associated with televising and marking location of storm water and sanitary sewers. Duties involve the collection of data and working around sanitary and storm sewers. The work is often physically demanding and involves long workdays, especially in summer months. RESIDENT PROJECT REPRESENTATIVE (RPR)
COLUMBUS, OH

Job Responsibilities
This position is a seasonal, full-time position with potential for winter layoff. The successful candidate will monitor the work of contractors to ensure quality control and contract compliance for primarily public works projects of routine to moderately complexity. Oversee, inspect and monitor contractual field work which includes excavations, drainage facilities, road surfaces, and structures; schedules work and inspection phases with contactor and agency personnel. Advise contractors of violations/deviations and recommend adjustments to operations. Maintain project records which include daily logs, materials notebooks, as-built plans and/or pay quantity records.



PROJECT MANAGER (SITE/CIVIL)
COLUMBUS, OH

Job Responsibilities
This position has responsibility for interpreting, planning and executing engineering projects. This includes definition of scope, development of design concepts, estimating costs, coordination and management of work and performance of staff assigned to project, and capturing and communicating project plan changes, reviewing invoices and conducting project QA/QC reviews. This position must serve as a client liaison, coordinating project schedules, problem solutions, budgets and quality work products. Written work products must have order, clarity, and conciseness.



ENGINEERING OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR (CHARLOTTE)
CHARLOTTE, NC

Job Responsibilities
The Office Administrator works directly for the office General Manager and is responsible for handling a wide variety of project-driven tasks for the entire office to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the project managers and office professionals. This includes such duties as drafting project proposals, gathering appropriate language, exhibits, and other publicly-available data needed for proposals, and coordinating modification to contracts as required. Maintain the project proposal database, securing and tracking signed proposals, facilitating invoicing processes by working closely with the project managers, and preparing financial and project tracking reports for review by management. The incumbent will direct the work processes of an Administrative Assistant who is a direct report.



PROJECT ENGINEER (NC)

Job Responsibilities
The Project Engineer for the EMH&T Charlotte office will work under the direction of a senior project manager and provide design support and management for private development projects, creating project designs from start to finish, including 3D conceptual plans, master planning, drainage analysis, surface preparations, incorporating line work and contour drawings from survey data points. The incumbent will develop plan and profile drawings and details, such as building placement, grading, utility plans, storm sewers, roadways, required easements, access drives, paring and more in accordance with local zoning standards and internal EMH&T drafting standards.



DESIGNER / ENGINEER (NC)
CHARLOTTE, NC

Job Responsibilities
This key site civil design position works with the senior project manager to provide design support for private development projects, creating project designs from start to finish, including Civil 3D conceptual plans, master planning, drainage analysis, surface preparations, incorporating line work and contour drawings from survey data points. The incumbent will develop plan and profile drawings and details, such as building placement, grading, utility plans, storm sewers, roadways, required easements, access drives, paring and more in accordance with local zoning standards and internal EMH&T drafting standards.



CAD TECHNICIAN - SITE/CIVIL
COLUMBUS, OH

Job Responsibilities
Under the direction of the project manager, this position transforms initial rough designs using computer aided design (CAD) drafting into working documents. Reviews engineering drawings and designs to ensure adherence to established specifications, EMH&T standards, and client needs.



ENGINEER INTERN (EIT - NC)
CHARLOTTE, NC

Job Responsibilities
This is a fulltime, entry level position. Under the direction of a seasoned PM, receives specific and detailed instructions for required tasks and results expected. Creates drawings and makes basic calculations on assigned portions of multiple projects. Performs basic engineering calculations and uses AutoCAD to begin to apply engineering education to practical design solutions.



SENIOR SURVEYOR (NC)
CHARLOTTE, NC

Job Responsibilities
Primary responsibility for the planning and completion of multiple survey projects and production of survey documents by incumbent or survey technician that meet client scope, standards, and deadline. Provide estimations of, personnel hours and materials needed to prepare bid proposals and assist in establishing completion dates. Preparation of construction staking plans, ALTA surveys, as-built surveys, mortgage surveys, etc. Works collaboratively with clients and engineering staff on specifications and modifications as project is underway. May engage in problem solving with municipal or utility companies in order to move a project forward.



ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
COLUMBUS, OH

Job Responsibilities
This position supports the Development division; providing general administrative support as assigned to facilitate efficient and effective business operations for the Director, as well as, multiple leaders and project managers within this group. Responsible for providing analytical and systematic support with information gathered from project managers, staff members and meetings. Gather ancillary and preparation of internal division information for proposal and submittal purposes. Support with the initial and on-going lifecycle of projects while maintaining corporate processes and procedures (i.e. create and maintain records on work in progress, update director on deadlines, work submissions, internal and external correspondences, miscellaneous deliverables, and archiving). Assistance with follow up of multiple staff members on deadline commitments for reports, timesheets, and other requested information. Job Responsibilities
This key position in the Rail division has responsibilities in assisting with all aspects of planning and organizing workflow, conducting all aspects of rail project design, layout, calculations and subsequent plan preparation, plan reviews and modification, including coordination and concurrence functions with railroad and public regulatory agencies and utility companies. Perform QC/QA design review on complex and non-complex design tasks to ensure quality products are delivered to clients. Prepare engineering documents and reports, such as Preliminary Engineering Studies, detail design reports, bid packages and tabulations, probable construction cost estimates, etc.
