RAIL ENGINEER INTERN
COLUMBUS, OH

Job Responsibilities
Under the direction of a seasoned engineer or a project manager, the incumbent receives specific and detailed instruction for required tasks and results expected. Creates drawings and makes basic calculations on assigned portions of rail design projects. Performs basic engineering calculations and uses AutoCAD and/or Microstation to begin to apply engineering principles to practical design solutions.



EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT
COLUMBUS, OH

Job Responsibilities
The Executive Assistant works directly under the President is responsible for handling a wide variety of executive-driven tasks for multiple executives that enhance their effectiveness by providing confidential information management support and representing executives to others as needed. This position provides a broad range of executive, administrative, and clerical support to the President, Executive Vice President, Vice President Business Development, Director of Human Resources, and occasional support for Board members. Primary focus is to conserve executive’s time by reading, researching, and routing correspondence; drafting letters and documents; collecting and analyzing information; initiating telecommunications. Accountabilities include maintenance and coordination of calendar of events and meetings; providing follow up, reminders and/or modifications pertaining to the various scheduled events and dates. Review/update executive’s appointment schedule; prepare itineraries; maintains travel vouchers, etc. This position acts as liaison between executive and subordinates and others by transmitting directives, instructions and assignments; following up on the status of assignments.



ENGINEER - RAILROAD DESIGN
COLUMBUS, OH

Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities include assisting with all aspects of planning and organizing workflow, conducting all aspects of rail project design, layout, calculations and subsequent plan preparation, plan reviews and modification, including coordination and concurrence functions with railroad and public regulatory agencies and utility companies. Perform QC/QA design review on complex and non-complex design tasks to ensure quality products are delivered to clients. Prepare engineering documents and reports, such as Preliminary Engineering Studies, detail design reports, bid packages and tabulations, probable construction cost estimates, etc.



COMMUNICATIONS SPECIALIST - OH
COLUMBUS, OH

Job Responsibilities
Under the general supervision of the director, manages the production of responses to Requests for Qualifications (RFQs), Requests for Proposal (RFPs), Letters of Interest (LOIs), and State and Federal prescribed-format submittals to pursue new projects (85% of the position). Originates and edits technical documents and marketing materials (10%). May also assist or originate communications items as they relate to proposal interviews, marketing materials, exhibiting displays, internal employee communications and external public communications and relations activities(5%). Limited planning and execution of special events.



ENGINEER INTERN
CHARLOTTE, NC

Job Responsibilities
This engineer position is a part of the design team in the Charlotte, North Carolina office of EMH&T and has a primary responsibility for assisting with projects by providing AutoCAD drafting and engineering design activities based level of experience and ability. Project work is typically in private, institutional and commercial land design and involves designs for providing access to sanitary collection systems, sewer systems, storm water, utilities, water distribution systems, and can include support with roadway redesign and redevelopment footprints. The incumbent will assist with design components assigned, grasping overall project scope and schedule; deliver project component within prescribed timing and budget; and effectively communicate progress and interact as a member of a project team. Engineer may be asked to provide support with project proposals, such as preparation of exhibits. May be asked to incorporate municipal plan practices or standards to meet the client’s needs. May interact with clients, public regulatory agencies and utility companies to gain project information.

ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENTIST
COLUMBUS, OH

Job Responsibilities
This key position in the EMH&T Environmental department has responsibility for the completion of wetland delineations, ecological surveys and NEPA documentation. The incumbent will manage projects, public and private, related to transportation and federally-funded work. The incumbent will conduct environmental assessments, including writing environmental impact statements, categorical exclusions, etc. Work may include research, site visits, interviews, preparation of exhibits, technical writing, interaction with clients, and communication with other EMH&T team members.



TRAFFIC ENGINEER
COLUMBUS, OH

Job Responsibilities
This engineer position is a part of the Traffic team and has primary responsibility for conducting studies of operations and flow patterns of surface traffic relative to public and private projects involving assessment of existing infrastructure, projection of future traffic loads, and identification of deficiencies and evaluation of alternative solutions. The incumbent must prepare written results and recommendations. Perform traffic engineering analysis and design related to traffic signals, signing and pavement marking, highway lighting, and maintenance of traffic during construction. The engineer may be asked to provide support with project proposals, such as preparation of exhibits. May be asked to incorporate municipal plan practices or standards to meet the client’s needs. May interact with clients, public regulatory agencies and utility companies to gain project information.

SENIOR ENGINEER (SSES)

Engineer who specializes in infrastructure projects, especially wastewater conveyance and collection system design and assessment; particularly desirable experience includes Sanitary Sewer Evaluation Survey (SSES) and Inflow and Infiltration (I/I) investigation work. Position Requirements: Our ideal candidate has 2 to 6 years experience in municipal and/or consulting engineering with specialization in CSO/SSO evaluation and mitigation, SSES, flow monitoring, flow data analysis, hydraulic modeling, data management, risk and criticality application in sewer systems, CIP development and prioritization



ENGINEER (DESIGN)

Responsibilities include assisting with all aspects of planning and organizing workflow, conduct all aspects of project design calculations and subsequent plan preparation, plan reviews and modification, including coordination and concurrence functions with public regulatory agencies and utility companies for utility and infrastructure improvement projects, with an emphasis on Public (CIP) projects. Perform QC/QA design review on complex and non-complex design tasks to ensure quality products are delivered to clients. SR. WATER RESOURCES ENGINEER
COLUMBUS, OH

Job Responsibilities
This key position serves as project manager, overseeing the completion of floodplain studies and FEMA permit applications, including steady and unsteady state hydraulic/hydrologic modeling. This position will also lead and perform QA/QC for Letter of Map Correction (LOMA/LOMR) applications, and be involved in a wide range of projects involving various hydraulic and hydrologic modeling platforms, including water quality analysis and the consideration of green infrastructure in a watershed setting. This position is also responsible for preparing and reviewing engineering documents and proposals, and serving as a client liaison with responsibilities of coordinating project schedules, budgets and quality work products. Advanced technical writing skills are required for this position. Written work products include reports, letters and technical specifications that must have order, clarity, and conciseness.



SERVER & NETWORK ADMINISTRATOR
COLUMBUS, OH

Job Responsibilities
This position will work with other members of the department to maintain the performance, availability and security of EMH&T network hardware, server systems and all server applications. The operations that this position performs includes: daily system monitoring, verification of hardware integrity; regularly scheduled security monitoring to identify possible intrusions and risks; daily backup operations; provide 2nd level troubleshooting and resolution to support desk; create documentation for new and existing network and server installations; apply OS patches and upgrades monthly; and perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimizations. The IT organization supports 250 users primarily located in the Columbus headquarters, but also located in regional offices located in Charlotte, NC, Indianapolis, IN and Cincinnati, OH.



CCTV OPERATOR - COLUMBUS
COLUMBUS, OH

Job Responsibilities
The CCTV Operator is a part of the Infratechnology Service team. The successful candidate will operate closed circuit television equipment within sewer systems and will assist with the set up of specialized equipment associated mapping of storm water and sanitary sewer collection systems. Must be able to work out of town overnight during the week. Duties involve the collection of data and working in and around sanitary and storm sewers and work is often physically demanding and sometimes hazardous conditions exist.
