Our History
In 1926, EMH&T began as a two man firm known as Evans and Mechwart and in 1955 adopted the full name of Evans, Mechwart, Hambleton & Tilton, Inc. as more partners became a part of the legacy. Today, known simply as EMH&T, it is the largest Ohio-based firm with more than 250 employees. This staff of professional and technical personnel, includes civil engineers, surveyors, construction managers, environmental scientists, and land planners who offer an extensive array of services to both public and private clients. With this staff, EMH&T is able to provide the necessary talents and experience to meet the challenges of each project.
As we have grown, EMH&T has become licensed to practice in states across the Midwest and the Southeast. During this same growth pattern we have a history of cost control efforts which has resulted in an overhead rate for our services that is among the lowest in the industry for full service firms. In addition, we efficiently use our highly trained personnel and empower our professionals to do what is necessary to satisfy our clients.
